| Hero was attacked by a pit bull |
A pair of stray brown and white pit bulls responsible for a string of attacks have Chicago residents worried about their children. The pit bulls have killed a cat, mauled a small dog and attacked a woman who used mace to deter the pair.
The woman who saw the dogs kill the cat called 911, and though she followed the pits to help police locate and secure the pit bulls, no one from the police department or animal control bothered to show up.
