Apr 18, 1895 Quincy: Bitten by a Bulldog

Quincy - While the wife of Fredrick Dierks was passing near the corner of Fourth and Vine streets about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon's savage bulldog belonging to John Houser sprang at her and bit her on the lower limb.

The bite of the dog drew blood and Mrs. Dierks became very much worked up over the attack.  She was taken to the office of Dr. Nichols where the wound was dressed.

This morning Mr. Dierks notified Marshal Reagan to kill the dog, which he did.
