East St. Louis - A woman is suing after a neighbor's dog allegedly attacked her.
Pamela Mobley filed the suit on Dec. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Adrius Coleman, the dog's owner; and Parsons Place LP, where the dog lives with its owner.
The suit alleges violation of the Illinois Animal Control Act, as well as negligence on behalf of Coleman and Parsons Place. The suit alleges the defendant did not monitor the property sufficiently to become aware of the dog's behavior and it allegedly should have known the dog is a pit bull.
The plaintiff was walking to her vehicle near the defendant's residence on Jan. 14, 2014 when the dog allegedly charged at her, causing her to injure her left knee.
The suit claims that Mobley's injuries are permanent and continuing, and have resulted in surgery and scarring. She allegedly also has experienced mental anguish, pain and suffering, and medical expenses.
Mobley seeks at least $50,000 from each of the defendants, as well as court costs. She is represented by Ashley Vaughan and Amanda J. Sextro of Brown & Crouppen PC of St. Louis.

Feb 10, 2011 Pit bull attack leaves man with permanent scars. suit claims
East St. Louis - Larry J. Blanchard Sr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael K. Suggs, V'Nicia L. Keel and Willie B. Sledge.
Blanchard claims the attack happened on Nov. 19 at 1376 North 35th St. in East St. Louis after Suggs and Keel failed to properly contain their pit bulls.
"Defendant's pit bull dogs attacked, struck down, bit, and chewed plaintiff severely injuring plaintiff as hereinafter alleged, all of which was without provocation by plaintiff," the suit states.

Mar 17, 2008 Lawsuit: Pit bulls’ Owner Blamed in St. Clair County Personal Injury Suit
East St. Louis - A woman who claims she was viciously attacked by pit bulls is suing the dogs’ owner in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Paula Johnson claims an attack took place Jan. 29, 2002, in her mother’s back yard at 715 North 24th St. in East St. Louis.
Defendant Annie Johnson lives nearby at 721 North 24th St., according to the complaint filed March 11.
“On January 29, 2002, the Defendant allowed her Pit Bull dogs to run unconfined, unrestrained and unsupervised,” the complaint states.
Plaintiff Johnson claims she was in great fear for her safety.
“One of the pit bulls bit the Plaintiff’s hand, then bit into her arm and would not let go, and began throwing the Plaintiff about,” the complaint states.
“The attack continued until the Defendant, who had been watching from an upstairs window in her house, came out and called off her dogs.”
Johnson claims she sustained bites and lacerations, severe soft tissue damage and scars,
