Aug 20, 2011 Iroquois County Pit Bulls Attack 3 year old

Iroquois co - Three year old Coyer Murray was playing in his yard when three pit bulls escaped from their outdoor kennel and attacked him.  His father, Edward Murray who is afraid of dogs, said it was like a miracle because when he saw the pit bulls attacking "the father thing kicked in" and he was able to pull them off of his son and keep them at bay until the owners could get them in their house.

Half of Coyer's head was covered in blood.  He was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he stayed overnight.  He was released the next day with 20 staples in his head and leg.  He suffered three gashes to his head and bites to his calf.
