"If the police officer wasn't there, the dog probably would have eaten me up," survivor Felicia Nubern said.


"The dog came from across the street and jumped the girl, and the mom was trying to fight him off, and he was going at them," witness Angelo Heard said.

CHICAGO - A Chicago police officer shot and killed a pit bull dog today that had attacked five people in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood.
